He’s a Cold-Blooded Snake
I have submitted one of my photos to JPGMagazine and would love for my friends to comment and/or vote for it; if you like it. If you take the time out to go and comment and vote, I’ll owe you one! At the very least, your blog will be my first read (and comment) of the morning!
Originally uploaded to my Flickr account, this seemed an appropriate entry.
Let me know when you’ve commented and voted, here in my blog’s comments; so I can be a much more consistent reader for you!
Thank you!
Love,
3T

Danalyn from Weblog Design Studios here to spread the word that WDS servers are DOWN!
I know many of our clients read 3T’s blog, I just would like to apologize for the inconvenience, and want to let you know that I am in contact with the techs as the data center right now. It looks like it may be a hardware failure.
We are working to at least get WDS moved to a new server, so we can handle support tickets (as I’m sure we have many waiting to yell at us). But for now, f you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at: .
Thanks,
Danalyn
Delta, my girlfriend of 20 years is here visiting me for the week. So far we are having a wonderful time together!
My blogging will be practically nill while she is here. I did want to let readers and those who I read know I won’t be around until Monday morning of next week.
I hope each of you has a fabtastic week and weekend!
Love,
3T

Danalyn (aka Wench) here hijacking 3T’s blog to 1) wish Tayler a very happy (belated) birthday, and if I had more time (and had kept up with my blog reads enough to know it was your birthday), I would have surprised you with a new template. Sorry.
But I know something you don’t know...and what you don’t know might just be happening before the holiday season is over. That’s all I’m saying.
Anyway, where was I?
Oh yeah, 2) I wanted to tell everyone that Weblog Design Studios is HIRING! If you have mad skillz (or know someone who does...who doesn’t already work for me), send them over!
PS: I’ve hijacked 4 blogs this month. You could be next. You have been warned!
At the moment anyway. Yesterday was so damn busy and full of running here, and running there, I was not allowed the time to wallow in worry or useless depression. And this was a good thing.
Everything left undone, due to the two day binge on overemotional tears, was completed yesterday.
Besides the routine running of rugrats to school and back, there was a junior high dance to take Tayler and her girlfriend to, as well as a costume party immediately following the dance.
Amidst much chaos came the news that Tayler had the chance to be an extra in a movie that was filming in Phoenix. Although they wanted a parent as an extra with her. Filming was TODAY from 7:00 am until 4:00 PM.
The hubby and I have a formal tonight, benefiting Banner Hospital, which translated into I can’t go with her to the movie set. It takes a lot of work and time to transform a middle-aged woman into formal readiness. Nails, hair, and removing hair take time and appointments that were set up weeks ago. Besides the make-up application that takes twice as long as most, since I don’t bother wearing any on a daily basis.
The X couldn’t go since he was the only pharmacist scheduled to work in the hospital on Saturday, and finding one to replace him on a Saturday is wishing on a star. This left only one parental unit to accompany Miss Tayler on her first job as a movie extra. Her step-dad, Kevin.
Yes, this is my little movie star, and I’m damn proud!
As I type this, Tayler and her step-dad are busily walking up streets and down streets amid a sprinkling of movie stars and bit part actors and actresses. I’m so excited to hear about Tayler’s first experience as an “extra” I can’t think straight. This is part of her dream to be an “actress” and whether or not she ever “makes it” or ends up edited on the floor before the movie ever hits theatres, is irrelevant. Today she makes money “appearing” in a movie.
Last night had Kevin, myself and her dad, out hunting for a few seperate outfits that Tayler could change into for different settings in the movie. It had me giggling watching her two dads wander the Jr. department of Macy’s looking for parts of outfits that were summer casual (for two scenes) and appropriate office attire (for one scene) that couldn’t be in the colors white, black or red. And never have I felt more blessed having these men working at helping Tayler realize one of her dreams.
Today I’m moved to distraction, wondering how it’s going, whether she enjoys the experience and what it was like for her. As well as my wonderful husband’s perception of being an extra in a movie as well. I’m hoping to get his perceptions in the form of a post here on Stumbling / Grace. I’m sure for my two favorite stars ( Kevin and Tayler of course!) it will have been a long day of waiting and standing around, in between filming different scenes.
And as for my lumpy breast, well that’s just going to have to hit the back burner while we do our best to enjoy each day and activity as it occurs.
And be sure to look (don’t look away!) for Tayler and Kevin, if you go see the movie Jolene in 2007!

And the season hits high gear.
3T and I were looking at our mental calendar of the next month and thinking: the next few weeks are like the first big hill you go down on an elaborate roller coaster: Once we get through the rush of “high season” in Arizona, we’ll be approaching another few hills brought on by the holidays.
Indeed, we have an almost dizzying schedule of cool events for worth causes that we’ll be attending, while at the same time we prepare for our daughter’s emergence into full teenagedom as she hits the big 13.
First off, a week from Saturday, we’ll be attending Banner Hospital’s big formal at the Hyatt Gainey Ranch. We’ve written before about this resort because it is also home to an event for the Child Crisis Center of the East Valley every April (an event that signals an end to the season in our part of Arizona.) For those readers who aren’t from the Valley, Banner is a huge health care operation, and runs a lot of hospitals around here, including the one where I had my prostate surgery. (Side note: I continue to recover and while I still have a couple of issues, none are either life threatening or affecting my day-to-day activities.)
The Gainey Ranch Hyatt is one of the most beautiful resorts in Arizona, with a courtyard that is almost magical. And with the cool weather, it will have lots of fireplaces you can sit near to enjoy the clear desert air.
About a week after this soiree, we’ll be off to a salute to the Child Crisis Center’s 25th anniversary at a cocktail party at the Mesa Arts Center, a really beautiful venue that is among the nation’s most unique facilities of its kind. 3T and I both are big supporters of the center because it does so much to help society’s most vulnerable population.
Then, a few days later, we’ll be going to a formal dinner-fundraiser for the arts center itself. We attended last year’s Art On The Move dinner and had a good time, so we’re looking forward to this event. It’s being held on the same day of our daughter’s birthday, so we’re balancing everything by having her big celebration the next day.
Whew.
Then we can rest--for about a day. Cause Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we’re hosting a pretty big dinner involving some friends and 3T’s ex and his mom. How’s that for an extended family?
Of course, all this commotion occurs when the weather in Arizona is beautiful. There’s so much we want to do and see, but we know that our responsibilities and the sheer lack of time will keep us from many of them.
But it doesn’t matter to me. As long as 3T is with me, ANYTHING I do is fun.
I hope you all are enjoying autumn.
Kevin
