And getting hit in too many different directions. I don’t do well juggling too many balls at once. I like to juggle one ball all by itself, although this keeps me from getting much done.(And doesn’t make for a very good show) From doctors and dentists appts. for the kids, myself and Kevin, household chores, and finding the time to do what I REALLY want to do on Monday,
nothing. Today will not be a nothing day, and I have accepted it.
It’s my week with the kids, which means laying out “real meals” instead of scrounging or going out, which is what Kevin and I do when the kids are not with us. Back to playing the home work police and running kids to and fro during the week.
A quick note: Yes, I know the post below this one is full of symbols and such...it was the first post I wrote in Word (usually I do it in my ISP email, but that isn’t set up on my new computer yet) I am not proficient in Word, but went ahead and used it anyway. When I copied it to my Expression Engine, they symbols just magically appeared...Starting off Monday morning in the vein it usually does. Disorganized, with nothig running smoothely for me.
I may, or may not correct it. Right now it’s not looking good for cleaning it up....but who know.
Also on the list for today, I have been tagged for a Meme by The Village Idiot at Kicked Puppies. Which I will honor and do, even though this takes me back to a time of year I dislike greatly. February. And when my sentence structure in posts was far worse then it is even today. Well, humility is good for the soul right? The Meme is to find the 23rd post, and reprint the 5th sentence of that post, then of course tag 5 more lucky bloggers (vicitims?) to do the same. It’s coming today, but probably after a few errands and chores around here.
On my “to do list” in the Blogger world, is a post updating the Jr. Blogger list. I have had a few bloggers send me new Jr. Blogger links.(See daily reads) I always want to encourage young people to write/blog and let parents of other Jr. Bloggers update their links as well. Yes, this is on the list for today too.
Not forgetting that this is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I will be posting some more information as well as feature another blogger who will be telling her story. She is a fantastic writer, and I am glad she is choosing to speak out on this issue. For now, I’ll let her remain a Mystery that will be revealed shortly.
My husband just hooked up my new computer Friday evening, and with the old computer down, the one with all of my URLS, the one with the blogrolling bookmarks and my posting sign in. So I am not running with what I normally have at my disposal. Although I did manage to pull up my Expression Engine sign in page. (This IS an accomplishment for me, the computer/internet illiterate)
This coming Saturday, I start a photography class. Kevin bought me a new digital camera, that looks so completely scary to me, that he signed me up for a class to learn how to use it. I am now committed to 18 class dates. And yes, I am a little apprehensive about going. I know nothing about digital cameras, and know I am walking into this class as the “teacher’s” biggest challenge. (He/she doesn’t know it yet though) And to make it even more challenging, Kevin misplaced the instruction book, so my plan to study this prior to entering the class is now thwarted. (He IS ordering me a new instruction BOOK, although I am sure it won’t be here by Saturday.)
Can you hear the negativity in my voice? My disposition does improve some as Monday makes way for Tuesday. Which is why I usually avoid posting much of anything on Mondays...Today, I just decided to throw up all the thoughts going thru my head, to refer to later. A reminder of what I want to do here in my blog, when the activities of life take over and I forget most of this.
I don’t want to jinx myself by saying this week is going to be so busy that it will border on sucking BIG TIME.....but maybe if I anticipate it this way, I can be pleasantly surprised by stolen special moments during the week. Who knows....
Hope everyone had a wonderful week-end!
Close it Up
