I, too, have blogged about this thing with restaurants changing. It has caused us to boycott two of what were our favorites. I wonder if it was all worth it?
Glad to hear you’re still among the living! The artichokes sound amazing. We had a favorite spot that did that dish as well, but have since taken it off the menu. We miss it!
Al~
I know what you mean about missing it. There are days we crave grilled artichokes, and that’s when we give in and go back to Houstons. The real bummer was when we finally got seated after a half hour wait, to be told they just “ran out” of them. As soon as the waitress was out of sight, we got up and left. I may have to post the recipe for the grilled artichokes and the creation I made for the sauce.
David~
Thank you and I will check it out!

I’m glad I was missed. And I think I will post both the glaze the hubby used for grilling the artichokes and the sauce I created/copied from Houstons.
Sue~
You always make me feel loved! And yes, I’m going to post it. But not before I catch up on what everyone has been up to lately!
MizMell~
I’ve never tried Jimmy’s Batch 81 sauce from Quiznos. I’ll have to give it a try. Now that I copied Houstons sauce so well, I’m feeling pretty cocky that I can take on others!
And I will post the artichokes. They are out of this world good!
And I am thrilled to say, that myself and my loved ones made it thru another February unscathed!
Glad to hear that you’re doing well, 3T, and survived the latest February. I know what you mean about restaurants letting you down more and more. Here, it just seems like you pay so much for something that is just “eh,” and to get more than just “eh,” it becomes too costly so we might as well make it at home.
That’s both the blessing & curse of having a successful business. I bet they’ve lost a lot of their original, repeat customers & the ones that return now, never experienced their superb quality.
3T, I’m so glad you’re spending lots of time with your family. That is what life is about. Kids grow up so fast & before we know it, they’re in college & moving on.
Imho, you’ve got your priorities in the right order.
Here via Blogexplosion, reading post and I saw “grilled artichokes”, one of my wife’s favorite things, can’t say I can count them as one of my favorite foods.
If I may, I will add your blog to my blogroll as it looks like an interesting read.
Hello my Mommy,
Your dip is soooo good!
The computer room looks really good now.
Delta will be happy to get the chance to sleep in it. LOL
I Love you Mommy Dearest!
The grilled artichoke and secret sauce sounds wonderful. I love artichoke, but unfortunately, only myself in my household would eat it and therefore I don’t bother. You have a very nice blog.
AZ Republic used to be one of my favorite sites when I lived in Chandler. I used to win all sorts of movie tickets and stuff. heh. Fun! I’m sure they didn’t have blogs back when I was participating. :D LUB EWE, 3T!
Glad to see you’re still with us… Would love to know the secrets you found over the stove. I enjoy wonderful taste!
Speaking of… ever tried Jimmy’s Batch 81 Sauce (of Quizno’s fame)? If so, know where I can get my hands on a case??
You’re ALIVE! You lived through February! WHOOT!

it’s so sad when your fave restaurant goes downhill...usually due to new management!
Welcome back from your hiatus!
