I’ve heard that nicotine is not an easy addiction to break but if anyone can do it, you can. Just look back at other things you have come through and/or accomplished and you will see there is no way those cigs can beat you
With everything you have gone through this year… this should be a snap for you. You are an incredibly strong lady and I’m sending you TONS of butt-kicking vibes!!! Good luck!!!!
Hang in there, Teri! It WILL get better. I remember my mom smoked for years and tried several times to stop. I swear she scared me to death whenever she tried quitting, lol. She would just turn into a monster.
But she finally did it and hasn’t smoked in years....gosh, probably over 17 years now. Once you get over that hump, it gets much easier.
Holy cow, I’m so proud of you! I know it’s amazingly hard, but you are such a strong woman, I just know you can do it. And think how proud you’ll be of yourself!
Good for you! I quit for good too. I want to smoke every single day but I haven’t given in in over a month. My doctor gave me Wellbutrin and I think that’s helped.
Whatever you do...don’t give in. The craving won’t kill ya...the cigarrette will.
You can do it sweetie!!! I am pulling for you (and praying hard too). I have a house full of company this week but I will be available next week if you want to go for a walk to get your mind off of things. We also need to do a girls lunch real soon.
I am sending you big ole’ cyber hugs!! Love you lots!!

I’m so proud of ya… I’ve heard it said it’s as much of an addiction as heroin, and I believe it. Watched my parents quit many, many times… finally for good, but I have a son who smokes and a husband who chews and that nicotine is a real kicker. I know my father -in-law still smoked after two heart attacks and after being told that was contributing to the attacks. He just couldn’t stop - would sneak them - until it evenutally did give him his final heart attack when he was in his 60’s.
Keep up the good work, hun… we’re all rooting for you!
Good luck to you, 3T!

Good for you! It’s good to hear you’re trying to quit. It’s so much better for your asthma. Wish the Wench would stop too. Good luck! Love ya, lady!
I’ve quit and failed many times… people always say (yes, the infamous “people” or “they") that when you’re ready, you’ll do it, and do it for good.
I do believe that I’m quickly approaching that point, and it looks like you’re there. Best of luck to you… it’s a bitch, but it’s worth it.
good luck, you will feel so much better all around. Prayers are with you.

I just quit too (& posted about it). You’ve got some great reasons - we can do this!
