Thank you lady!  You and your hubby way out did yourselves to show all of us a wonderful day.  Thank you too for including my aunt.  Your thoughtfullness in putting together each of our stockings was above and beyond.  You are the greatest Santa lady!  I hope 2007 brings you lots of fun and happiness, and lots of cosmos too smile
Love you!!

I think we had the same idea for today. I’m just now taking an afternoon break from boxing up the decorations both David and I have been avoiding for the past week. This little project has taken all day, since our tastes have quite the distinct polarity, (I like a few decorations, David likes it to look like a Christmas store exploded in the condo)!

I enjoyed your recap of the holidays. It sounds like it was much more relaxing than last year was for you. That picture of Taylor is amazing by the way. It seems as if she’s becoming quite a classically cultured young woman

Your idea of going to a resort for the XMas meal is one David and I have decided on for next year, as we are hosting his and my family in Toronto. Somehow a dinner made for almost twenty pales in comparison to the slight dent in the wallet a buffet would create!

Sounds like you had a great holiday season. It’s awesome that you and your ex are sharing the holiday with the kids together. My husbands parents have always done that and it has worked so well over the years. Now it is working for the grandkids too. The whole family is better off for it.

You are a very very brave woman, 3T. There are two things I hated about teaching. One was lunch duty and the other was field trips.  There is only one thing in my life that i dread now, being in the same room with my X.  You did it all, girl. You’re a better person than I!

Thank you Bud, but I don’t know how brave I am. I have three kids and have never had the courage to chaperone prior to my baby, who has one more year left of mother’s chaperoning, before he’s off to Jr. High School. And right now, the X and I are not speaking, he drops the kids off and runs back to his car. He earned my temper, although from what I’ve heard from others, my temper is scary. wink (Just didn’t want there to be any misconceptions) I appreciate the exhortations though.

Kris~
I agree with you, it is the best thing for the kids. I know this will continue until they are raised. Although; there are times....Well, we do what we have to. wink

Al~
Much more time to relax and just enjoy the Holidays. I think the Christmas decorations are one activity every couple ends up compromising on. Paul did not get his roof top display he wanted. (although this was for his own safety) I don’t think you’ll regret going to brunch for christmas next year, especially with the crowd you’ll be hosting! When all is said and done, I don’t think the dent in the wallet is all that much more than preparing it at home. Not if you lay our a wide variety of dishes. (And you’re not exhausted from all the grocery shopping and food preperation and clean-up) Tayler is my pride and joy, and I’m very proud of the many activities she participates in. All decorations are carefully wrapped and stored away for next year. I don’t know about you, but the house feels a little empty without the tree and decorations. It’ll take a couple of weeks for it to feel normal again. Thanks for commenting Al!

Oh-Girl (aka; Rhonda) It was my pleasure! Btw, I LOVE the ornament of martini glasses! I wouldn’t let Paul pack it away. It’s one I may hang from my rear view mirror. Keep in touch girlfriend! I know you’re taking a little hiatus from blogging while studying for your new job. I have no doubt you will be a complete success in it! You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers. Love you!

Tayler~
I’m looking forward to us getting back into scrapbooking too! Maybe we can pull it all out for spring break. With the reading you’re doing on different ideas, I’ll be ready for you to teach me new tricks. I love you Tay!

Ma~
Thanks for commenting! I miss you! I hope you and Danalyn and the Mr. had a wonderful Holiday as well. Love you, dear lady! Remember us AZ bloggers when booking your flight to Hawaii. A little layover here to visit us, would be fun!

Thank you to each of you who took time out of your day to comment. I appreciate each of you!

Love,

3T

I went to the symphony as well this season and saw Beethoven’s 9th.  It was my first time to one, and I enjoyed it.  They played Handel’s Messiah before Christmas, so maybe I’ll do that next year.

I had to crack up at the “arrangement” you made with your son for his field trip.  It’s kind of funny that kids don’t realize how cool their parents really are.
