Proud Blogathon 2005 Zazzafooky Sponsor!!!

Blogathon 2005 will commence this Saturday! One of my favorite reads TJ at Zazzafooky will be participating with the proceeds going to a very worthwhile and appropriate charity! TJ will stay up all night, posting every half hour ALL NIGHT for the charity Book Aid International. Whose motto is “If Education is the road out of poverty, books are the wheels needed for the journey.” (Richard Crabbe Chairman, African Publishers Network 1997-2002)

Reading and having the books available is such a basic to so many of us here in the United States, I would say a good deal of us take it for granted. Book Aid International works hard to get books to people who would not otherwise have them available. I know I don’t need to explain how appropriate a charity this is as bloggers. I think TJ has chosen a very worthwhile charity, and I wholeheartedly support her in this endeavor!

And I am asking readers here at Stumbling / Grace to check out Zazzafooky and support her as a sponsor of Blogathon 2005! She is giving up a full nights sleep, to participate in the Blogathon. As bloggers this is our opportunity to make a difference as a group! There are thousands of us, and if we all chip in, even if it’s a dollar, we can and will make a difference! We see Religions and Political groups doing great things, sometimes just by their sheer numbers. We as bloggers number into the thousands from all over the world! This Blogathon is all of us, making the statement that we care, and what we do is in fact worthwhile. Especially when we are able to work together to aid charities!

Books take us to whole new worlds, outside of our own. Providing this opportunity to those who are not be able to afford it, is an altruistic, caring gesture that speaks volumes about us as a group. So even if you can only afford a dollar, go over to Zazzafooky and show her we care, and are cheering her on! If you can’t afford it, go over and leave a comment, telling her you support her, and will be reading her posts, which will equal 48 post when all is said and done!

If you want to read more on Book Aid International, TJ has the link there on her site for you to check out. I take this opportunity to say “TJ, you are a wonderful, unique and special person! I will be reading your Blogathon posts, with fingers crossed and prayers said! Bless your heart! And all of those who choose to support her!

Love,
3T

PS. On a side note, I am very excited to have a whole 48 posts of TJ writing to read over the week-end! You go girl! grin
