To Anyone & No One in Particular

I scan/read lots and lots of blogs off and on thru out the day. I enjoy reading just about anything. Barring political and religous blogs. Not that I have anything against them, they are not my cup of tea usually. Certainly not becuase I do not have political or religous views, I just choose not to read about them for entertainment.

Would I take a post and make it completely about how boring I find these particular blogs? No. I just choose not to read them. Believe it or not, this isn’t about political or religous blogs either. This is about bloggers who choose to pigeon hole a group of bloggers, and label under the category of “boring”. Then don’t read them!

I have read so many different types of blogs. My favorites vary in subject, style and content. You couldn’t label my complete Daily reads or Favorites under one type of blog. A good deal of them talk about thier lives. Some are more trivial. Some are just downright excellent writers! Others may very well fall under the words of “Mommy Blogs.

But there is a theme I am seeing out in blog land that irritates the shit out of me. When bloggers choose to label Mommy Blogs or Housewife blogs, and they stick the word “BORING” in there. My question is, how is it that you or anyone else decides what is boring? Because you don’t happen to be a housewife? You don’t have kids? You’re single? And this is so much more interesting?

How are your struggles in day to day life so much more interesting then anyone elses? Blog land varies so greatly! That’s what makes it interesting and fun! There are some wonderful people out there. Some very talented people. My hats off to all of them. But to stereotype a group of bloggers? I have an idea, don’t read em!
